I love this stamp set from the holiday catalog from Stampin’ UP! I am really pleased with how this 5 x 5 card turned out.
The cardstock I used is from my stash, the DSP is a retired one from Stampin’ UP! but any kind of “glittery” paper would work. I stamped the image onto water color cardstock using Staz On ink because I knew I wanted to use Distress Oxide inks to create a wintry snowy night. The two colors I used are Broken China and Wilted Violet. I love how the back ground turned out!
I also used some Stickles glitter glue on the snow and to enhance the snowflakes (stamped with the Broken China Distress Oxide).
To color the images I used the Water Color Pencils from Stampin’ UP! and my water brush.
Here are the measurements for the card:
Card Base – 5 x 5 inches square
DSP – Year of Cheer Specialty (retired) – 4 5/8 x 4 5/8
Lavender Mat – 4 1/4 x 4 1/4
Water Color Focal Image Piece – 4 x 4
